As the most well-known education think tank in China, 21st century education research institute started the monthly 21st century education salon since September 2010.
We wish a different salon! Every month, friends with various backgrounds come and discuss about the problems, or sometimes improvements, that we notice in education of China. The salon is intended to follow the principle that “education is related to everybody”, face the hardest and hottest problems in education of China, and strive to create a free and high-quality communication platform for professionals from every corner of the society that care for the education cause in China.
We believe that change in education derives from change in every individual. And individual’s concern for good education can only result from change of individual through discussing about common sense, rectifying misunderstanding, as well as spreading good and ideal education modes.
In our salon, one main speaker delivers his insights, and the audience participate in the discussion. The main speaker is selected from thinkers or practitioners that have great influence in the field of education. Topics range from country education, reform in elementary and middle school to frontier topics, such as education internationalization and online education. With these topics fully discussed, the salon gather the power of education reform. The salon insist an environment of respect, equality, variety, constructivism, positivity, rationality, and brainstorming-friendliness for reform of current situation.
